A rigid piece of abrasive with or without mounting facilities. Items having such mounting facilities as a fixed spindle, a threaded insert, or an arbor hole are designed for mounting on a grinding machine, tool chuck or mandrel. VISE,BENCH AND MACHINE TABLE
A clamping device consisting of a base and two jaws mounted on a subbase. The subbase is designed for mounting on a workbench and is not normally mounted on a machine table. The base and jaw assembly may be readily detached from the subbase for use on a drilling machine, milling machine, grinding machine and the like.
A fixture of cast iron or steel, precision ground, having one or more V grooves machined parallel and squared with respect to the bottom, top, and ends. The block may have milled grooves on the sides to accommodate clamps which are used for holding cylindrical work.

A device consisting of a bracing or lifting screw with nut, and a base V-shaped and slotted which permits bracing at various angles to a machine table by blocking or straddling the corners of angle plates or parallels. It is used for supporting or bracing work to be machined.

ARBOR,SHELL END MILL
A bar of special steel, machined and ground, having a standard milling machine or a Brown and Sharpe tapered shank. The body ends are ground to various diameters for mounting the different sizes of shell and mill cutters. It is used with adapters on milling machines having standardized spindle end and Brown and Sharpe milling machines having taper-nose or threaded spindles.
An instrument used in adjusting and locating centrally any point or hole in a piece of work operated upon in a lathe chuck or faceplate. It consists of a holder with a universal ball socket for holding an indicating rod or "wiggler".
An item consisting of an industrial diamond mounted in the end of a metal rod or bar and exposed to provide a cutting point or edge. It is used for truing, shaping, and dressing abrasive wheels. When in use, it is mounted in a suitable holder on a stand or machine and its movement across the wheel surface may be either manual or machine powered.
A circular shaped attachment with a radial guide or ways into which a tool-carrying slide is fitted. The slide is provided with a continuous automatic feed for feeding the tool post toward or away from the center. It is designed for mounting on a bar and is used on a lathe, drilling and/or milling machine.

A device, consisting of a specially designed electric motor, which may be reversible, mounted in a housing, which also incloses a transmission gearing, communicating with a driving shaft extending to the operating end of the shaft housing, the whole mechanism being independently self-contained for ready portability. It is used to increase production on hand threading and cutting tools, and other manually operated mechanisms.
STONE AND HOLDER,CYLINDER HONE
A mounted length of abrasive or combination of abrasive and cork. The stone is integral with the mount for use in conjunction with a cylinder honing tool.
STAND,ABRASIVE WHEEL DRESSER
A device consisting of a cast steel base, a mandrel upon which the abrasive wheel can be mounted for revolving, and a diamond dressing nib. The diamond nib is mounted on a mechanical arm which is adjustable to the specific angle that wheel is to be trued or shaped. This arm is moved in a reciprocating motion causing the diamond to pass over the face of the revolving wheel thus performing the truing, shaping and dressing operation.
A mechanical item designed to be attached to a grinder for the purpose of holding various types of drills at the proper angle for sharpening the cutting end.

A chucklike device designed to hold, by means of a collet, various kinds of round work while performing machine or drill operations. A specific bar of special steel, machined and ground, consisting of a plain cylindrical shank at one end, and the other end vertically slotted for the insertion of abrasive sheet elements. In use it is rotated by the chuck of a drill press, lathe, flexible shaft machine, or pneumatic or electric drill for the internal deburring, cleaning, polishing or finishing of a cylindrical hole.

A device consisting of an adjustable spring actuated drum or reel and a wire cable having a lifting eye or hook on one end. It is designed for aerial suspension over the work bench, assembly line or the like in holding tools in counterbalanced suspension.

A clamping device consisting of a base with one stationary and one manual screw actuated jaw. Each jaw has either a series of independently sliding gripping fingers (finger type) encased in a housing, or a group of adjustable gripping cams (cam type) attached to the top. The gripping surfaces of either type may be locked in a position to grip securely irregularly shaped objects of square, round, or tapered shapes, and the like. It is designed to be mounted on a machine table.

A flat, circular disk of flexible or semiflexible fabric designed for attachment to a backing pad or polishing holder of a power driven polisher or disk buffer, used for polishing and rubbing. Excludes WHEEL, BUFFING.
A viselike clamp with one movable and one stationary jaw. The jaw width must not exceed 2 inches (50.8 millimeters) over-all. It is furnished with a block to shorten the jaw opening span. It may be V-grooved on the under-side and may contain a hole(s) through the block for fastening to a bench.
